You're right, it's probably more correctly referred to as a blessing, though
I've heard others refer to it as a baptism. I discussed this with one of
the librarians awhile back, and these baptisms or blessings do/did happen.

The baptism you note cannot be an infant baptism if it was done in a
Mennonite Church. They are Anabaptists and practice believer baptism. A
common age for baptism is in the early 20's or late teens.
