Just an off-the -wall question...did Loux ever get mistaken for Lutz?

Your spelling is off a little, since Loux is a name found in numerous
listings of the "Gospel Herald" and "Herald of Truth" obituary indices.
Doing a quick search the name pops up in the "History of Bucks County",
noting Mennonite Peter Loux lived along Deep Run in 1737, and was a member
of the Deep Run Mennonite Church.

The name also shows up in the "History of Westmoreland County" in a section
titled: "Loucks, Loux or Laux Family", and refers to the same Peter Loux of
Bedmister Township, Bucks County. It notes he was born in 1706 and came to
America on the ship 'Friendship' in 1738.

Both histories are on Google Books. However, there is no mention of a
church named after them. Mennonite meeting houses go way back with the
oldest currently in use dating to the 1770's, but they also met in homes in
some areas.

The baptism you note cannot be an infant baptism if it was done in a
Mennonite Church. They are Anabaptists and practice believer baptism. A
common age for baptism is in the early 20's or late teens.
