I don't have access to the Gospel Messenger microfilm at the moment, but
would this be the Eld. J. S. Flory who operated a "Magnetic Institute" in
Bridgewater, Va., moved to Lamont, Colorado, where he built a church and some sort of
solarium, sold buffalo robes and mail order books on how to make things out of
buffalo leather, authored a book on the supernatural, and who ended up in
Lordsburg, California for a time?

If so, I have some details on this family line: his daughter married
"Doctor" W. H. Neher, who in the 30's was both a Brethren Elder and ran a 'cosmic
laboratory' Several of the most intriguing personalities of Brethren history.
