Can anyone recommend a resource that may help me determine if there were any
TROUT members of the Beaver Dam COB congregation in the 1775 -1785 time
frame?

I believe Joseph TROUT and family went from the Amwell congregation in
Amwell Twp, Hunterdon, NJ to the Beaver Dam congregation in Frederick County, MD
in about 1775, then moved on to Virginia, ending up in Franklin County, VA by
about 1787. I believe they descended from Johann Heinrich TRAUT of
Germantown, and their fellow congregation members who also went from Amwell to Beaver
Dam and ultimately Franklin County, VA include Henry LANDIS (LANDES), and
brothers John and Abraham BECHELHEYMER (BECHTELHEIMR, PICKLESIMER). Their
father, Johan Georg "Elder John" BECHELHYMER had succeeded John NAAS as the 2nd
Elder of the Amwell congregation in 1841. Henry LANDIS was the grandson of the
Henry LANDIS who was one of the first 6 Brethren baptized in Germantown in
1723.
