Re: Reformed vs. Lutheran theology.

That would take a book to explain the differences. The primary theological
difference related to how one obtained salvation. Calvin believed salvation
was predestined, commonly called election. In predestination, God
determined who went to heaven and who went to hell before they were born,
and there was nothing one could do to change that. Luther believed in free
will, where the individual played a roll in obtaining salvation.

There are a number of other differences between Calvinist based
denominations and Lutheran based denominations. Then of course you have
Anabaptist based denominations that believe in adult 'believer' baptism.
You get a merging of all three with the Baptists. For example, Southern
Baptists believe in election, Free Will Baptists believe in free will.

What is the difference in theology between Reformed, Lutheran, and other
Christian churches? They seem pretty much the same to me.
