The Pietist movement out of the University of Halle -about 1680 -all
took the name of Brethren (brothers and sisters) - only two churches
evolved from these Bible Studies - The Moravian Brethren (Hussites) -
the Baptist Brethren (us - German Baptist Brethren, etc) Some groups
used "Gemeinshaft".
There was no particular dress or uniform. These were Bible Studies open
to anyone, to learn the way the Early Church lived their Christianity
(Primitive Christianity). The was a common theme -of many of the
original reformation and for centuries after.
