Dennis--The Pony Creek church was an early church in Kansas, just south of
the Nebraska line, and north of the town of Morrill, Brown County, KS. I
imagine some of the members continued to live in Pawnee County, Nebraska.
Many of the members from the Turkey Creek church in Nebraska [Pawnee County]
moved southward and joined the Pony Creek church, Brown County, KS. The
Pony Creek church was later known as the Morrill, KS church. It was
involved in the 3-way split of the 1881-2 years.
Others from Turkey Creek moved westward--some into Chase County Nebraska and
southward into Oklahoma and elsewhere. Jane Davis.
