The Elizabeth Hottel who married Christian Reiff about 1758 (p. 107
of the Hottel History) was the sixth child of Charles and Barbara
Hottel. Charles immigrated with his parents, John and Margaret Hottel
and three brothers and one sister, arriving September 11, 1732 on the
ship Pennsylvania, John Stedman, Master (P. 7, History of the
Descendants of John Hottel, by Rev. W. D. Huddle, Shenandoah
Publishing House, Inc. Strasburg, Virginia, 1930)
