I was wondering if the historians on this list know anything else about the
Little Swatara Church in the 1700's. On the webpage it lists the earliest
congregational list and on it is a Widow Benedict and an Elizabeth Benedict.

If there is more information it may confirm the parents of Peter Benedict,
b. ca 1731 in Germany to Jacob Benedict and Maria Sara Scheid (who may be
the good widow). Some sources have said he had a younger sister named
Elizabeth....b. ca 1741. I have not confirmed any of this, but have taken
this information "as is" until any confirmation is forthcoming.

It is confirmed that Peter married Maria Lauckster on 14 Oct 1760 in (now)
Lebanon Co. by John Casper Stoever at the Berg or Hill Church, which is in
the same area. This places him in the area... I have a few tax lists as
well... 1771, 1772 (Lancaster Co.) until he moves to Cumberland (now
Franklin) Co after that.

Any thoughts?
