If it's of further interest to anyone, in February 2005 Mary Blocher Smeltzer
was interviewed by the Los Angeles Times for an article about the Japanese
American National Museum's honoring of 200 internment camp teachers. Mary
Smeltzer was one of those honored. You can purchase the article online at
