I'm tracing my paternal line so the name I'd be interested in is Brubaker. I have a Jacob Brubaker b. bef. 1755 who married Margaret/Martha about 1780. In the 1790 census they are found in Washington County, MD census, later in Huntingdon County, PA. I'm trying to figure out where they were before 1790. I don't think they were in Washington County, MD for the entire time.

One old document I found had the name spelled Brubaugher and the only other place I've seen that spelling is in an 1840 Dauphin County census. Thanks for any lookups.
