Elder George Adam Martin was a proponent of Ephrata Pietism - this led
to problems in several locations -in 1762 he was in the Antietam
Church. On which side of the present Pennsylvania-Maryland border this
was, I don't know. He was controversial there, but took a following to
Brother's Valley (Bedford?) in 1764 -where there were more
controversies. This sounds to me -like Peter Zug was another who held
to our Pietism tradition. (The young minister who became the future The
Elder Jacob Miller -was one of those who moved from the Antietam to
Brother's Valley at this time! -another Pietist?)

In 1762 he is reported to have defended the COB rebel Elder George Adam Martin. Does anyone know where this would have been? Peter was next in Millford Twp. of now Somerset Co., Pa. by 1774.
