James,

Thanks for joining in! I, too, have been sorting through notes and this is
why I'm back on this forum, again. I can't find that we ever came up with
conclusive answers on several of these children and marriages and every time
I get into it I get more confused. :-( In correspondence with Gale, I
found that I have very sketchy information on the parentage of Elizabeth
Martin Shively, who would be a direct ancestor of my husband. If her
parents were John Martin and Maria, I need have proof of both the parents of
John and Maria, which apparently leads to another 'can of worms'. We have
too many Stephen, Daniel, Susannah, Maria/Mary, etc. Ulrichs... And now I'm
sorting through Martins and Brumbaughs, too?

Pat J.
