Winter Dellenbach has provided very valuable information for the
Brethren in 1880's in the Pawnee County, Nebraska area from two
autograph books. By sharing specific names, dates, and places,
genealogists can now pinpoint specific ancestors at a certain place
and time.

Can some of these individuals be identified further? The A. J. Smith
listed as "A.J. Smith, Nemaha City (or county?), Neb. 7/22/83" in
"Freda Dellenbach's Autograph Book" is most likely the Albert J. Smith
(12-6-1856 to 12-17-1935), who was a minister in the CoB as well as
one of the sons of the William Smith who was a minister at Pawnee
City, as mentioned and discussed in earlier posts. Can anybody
identify the "E.O. Smith 1/16/85" in this same autograph book?

What is amazing to me, is that I have in my possession a similar type
autograph book from the same time (1880's) and place (Pawnee County,
Nebraska, and related locations) that belonged to the above Albert J.
Smith's brother, Charles Smith, with at least two of the same names in
it as in Winter Dellenbach's books. At a later date, I will share
these names with some additional comments. [Albert J, Smith and
Charles Smith were brothers of my maternal grandmother, Florence
(Smith) Moyers.]
