You no doubt know about Peter Eversole, born about 1780 at Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. He is reported to be the father of John Eversole. John was
born 1808 at Baldwin's Run, Fairfield Cty., OH. . John Eversole married
Jane Spencer In the source given below they were reported to be " of the
Christian Church --Married by Elijah Schofield." Elijah was a well known
Brethren Minister - so they must have been Brethren. Elijah died in 1836 or
37 -from memory- In about 1840 one of the Eversoles purchased Elijah's
farm - in the NE corner of Hopewell Township, Perry County, Ohio.. A small
family cemetery had been started on the south border of the Schofield farm
and since about this same time the Brethren church building at Mt. Perry
was sold the Brethren families of the Jonathan Creek Congregation used that
cemetery for many years in the early 1800's. It became know as the Eversole
Cemetery.
Family information from 1883 History of Perry County, A.A. Graham. Page
399-400. I believe this is now on line.
If you see a connection it would be interesting. Good Luck Hal
