I have been watching with great interest, the notes on both of these John
Bowman families. My husband, Irvin Lair is a descendant of John 1743-1830
through his maternal grandmother Emma D. Nether. He also has Bowman
ancestry through his Lair line. His great-great grandfather John Lair m1.
Catherine Bowman d/o Joseph Bowman. As I check Mason's "Elder Jacob Bowman,
Sr. Family Record" I find that Mason shows both the above as descendants of
Elder Jacob Bowman, Sr.

I, on the other hand descend from John Bowman and Elizabeth Ikenberry
through their son, John Bowman who married Parizade Ferguson. My paternal
great grandmother was Martha Parizade "Paddy" Bowman Layman. She died in
1939 and 12 children by two husbands. How does this line tie in with the
Elder Jacob Bowman, Sr. line, if indeed it does?
