Per the book "Stover Brethren', 2001, by Richard Weber,
Elder Wilbur Brenner Stover (1866, Franklin Co., PA - 1930, Olympia, WA) m. Mary Ellen Emmert (1871-1960). They were early Society of Brethren missionaries to Bombay, India, arriving there in 1894. Their children were Elder John Emmert, Miriam Elizabeth, James Mitchel, Helen Lois and Daniel Wilbur. The book has a photo of the family in 1902 as well as a transcription of a newspaper note from Bombay, India announcing their arrival.
The book takes the Stover's back to near Karlsruhe, German in the
late 1600's, but is primarily on the family of Elder William Stover of
Antietam, MD. It should still be available from Mr. Weber at 10715
Moosberger Ct., Columbia, MD 21044.
