I can offer speculation Bobbie: Elsewhere in Newberry Township
of Miami County Ohio (in Highland Cemetery) there is buried
Jacob Cable 1824-1900 and wife nee Susanna Wenrich/Wenrick 1827-1900.

I lean towards the belief that the three children in the Cable Cemetery;(Abraham;Almira; and Martin) are their children. The two cemeteries are less than a mile apart.

The only thing that does not line-up with this speculation is the
date shown for the child Martin Cable, died 15 Sept 1841 aged
3y, 7m, 2d. As I am the person that copied the stones in that
graveyard (during July 1977) I offer that I goofed when I read that
stone. Because of the condition of that graveyard it would have
been very easy for me to goof <g>.

About the above Jacob Cable; he was a son of "Brethren-Elder" John
Cable and wife Nancy A. (Ellis) Cable. Rev. John Cable and
Nancy's eight proven children were:

1-Cynthia Ann, b:1846, married Peter E. Whitmer
2-Frances E., born 1848, married Joshua Grubb
3-Esther Elmira, born 1851, married Philip Fink
4-Thomas B., born 1857, married Mollie Favor
5-Clinton Dewit, born 1859...went west...no record
6-Alice Belle, born 1864, married Ephraim S. Mohler
7-Nancy E., born 1867, married Silas Grant Rike
8-Artie, born 1871, married John Palser
