that would make a connection to the Daniel Ockerman, who was an Elder in
the Hinkston Creek Church, near Mt Sterling KY before 1800 (this seems to
be the largest of our early Kentucky Churches) {East Union Church was one
of the meeting places -see below]. the Molers lived there also.

Subject: Daniel Ockerman

I am looking for information on Daniel Ockerman Sr. (Ockerman is sometimes
found as Ackerman, Ockorman or other), born 1764, wife Elizabeth. Daniel
was a Dunker minister in the area of Raleigh, NC around 1790, I have him
possibly in Rowan and Craven Counies, NC from 1790-1800. He ended up in
what is now Bath and Nelson Counties, KY after 1800 at the East Union
Church. Around 1820 he moved to White Oaks Township, Highland County, OH
and was apparently a minister at the Sinking Springs Congregation until his
death between 1823-1826.
------------
[Sinking Springs was either the Brushy Creek Church or the daughter church
at Strait Creek. there was a church at White Oaks.]
