When Joseph Kingery is first mentioned in Ohio (Montgomery Co OH -Great
Miami River, about 1798) - with his brother-in-law Potter John Miller - he
is given as Gingrich. The known Kingery name goes back to Peter Kingery
(d. 1786) in Pennsylvania.

Yes, there are Gingrich families - I know some. They are from Virginia.
But they are not this family.
