Johan George Schaiteler/Shideler of Monocacy m 20 Dec 1739 by Rev Johann Casper Stover in either First Reformed Church in Lancaster or Christ Reformed Church in York [both apparently recorded in Stover's journal] Margaretta Neff of Kunez Creek. They moved to Frederick County into the part that later became Washington County MD
Their son George Adam Shideler Sr m c1780 Mary Magdalene Buchias, by 1790 moved to Washington Co PA and by 1808 to Montgomery County OH, among their 11 children:
Elizabeth m c1802 Benjamin Bowman [a Brethren elder] who m2) Hannah Ulrich widow of John Studebaker
Daniel m c1812 Catharine Heck who had son Elias b 12 Sep 1814
George Jr m 1819 Elizabeth Neff d/o Jacob & Polly (Renfro)
Shideler/Neff marriages are numerous. Hope this helps with the generations.
George Shidler a minister in the Christian Church was granted a license to perform marriages in Preble County OH 31 Aug 1815. His verbal will was taken 4 Sep 1828 and proven in the Oct term 1828 naming wife Abigail whose will was proved 30 Nov 1844, both in Preble County. Two children are named by both: Susannah w/o Adam Whitesell and Jane w/o Ira Swain. Who were George's parents?
