Mary,

The Mississinewa congregation was in Delaware Co IN, not OH. It was named
for the Mississinewa River, which ran near the church location in Union Twp
near Eaton.

My grandmother, Flora Eliza Pitts was born in 1867, near Ostrander,
Deleware Co., and the family was part of that denomination. Her parents
were George W. Pitts and Albina Jane Runnels Pitts. Albina Jane was the
daughter of Sollis and Eliza Nash Runnels. I'm wondering if they might
have been part of this congregation. In about 1869 they moved to Washington
Co., Iowa, where he farmed. By 1880, they had moved to Gage Co.,
Nebraska, where he homesteaded. George W. and Albina are buried in the
Brethern Cemetery at Holmesville, but

>> Sylvester "Ves" Rench born in Miami Co OH was a s/o John & 1) Margaret
Jane (Sipe). His 1st wife was Elizabeth Williams. The Rench home was in
Harrison twp, Delaware Co IN. I do not know where Ves and his wives are
buried. Can you give me an idea where his about birth date came from? His
parents were married 10 Oct 1847 which makes it a tight squeeze. Do you
know if this was a Brethren family? I would love to drive over to Eaton one
day and walk through the Union Cemetery. So many of the families from this
area here in Miami County moved to Delaware County and were part of the old
Mississinewa church.
