I am researching the Dasher/Tasher (many variations) family in PA--Chester, Bedford, Blair Counties. Henry and Mary Dasher earliest documented family, Coventry, East Vincent Tax rolls, Chester County, 1763. Other family names include Mower/Moura/Morer, Hines, Yardy/Yorty/Yorte, Jordan, Snider, Fluck or Fluke, Moore, Reffner, Eichelberger, Gates, Ayers, Myers, Giles, Wise, Crawford, Lutz.. My yorty is Michael Yorty m Elizabeth Dasher, lived in Pipe Creek Hundred MD in 1791. Henry and Mary were Church of the Brethren, members of Coventry congregation COB. Peter Tasher is a possible father of Henry but I cannot document it. I have found a letter of Administration for Christian Deihl of Coventry, dated 1759 in which the following information is found: Wife Mary Dorothea, daughter Margaret Elizabeth, son Christian, other children but not named in document, witnesses PETER TASHER, Michael Syfer, Philip Strong. Are your Deihl possibly linked to this family?
Janice

Thank you for the reference. I found Rupps list which shows him just as you
described ( a member of the German Reformed Church). I am trying to
determine which Harclerode was the earliest known member of the COB. Can
you help me? My ancestors were (starting with Johannes Heinrich Herchelroth
and his wife Mary C. Corphans) : John Henry Harclerode & Maria Smouse -
John Henry Harclerode Jr. & Eve Deihl - John Henry Harclerode lll & Julia
Ann Cogan - David Harclerode & Mary Wyles.

Also, is there a list of the 200 or so COB immegrants the came over on the
original two ships?
