Was Peter one of the sons of Jacob Berkey of No. Indiana? If so, since his
father was drowned in early 1880s is it possible they went to Texas? Just
trying to think of possibilities. I also considered the possibility that
they were involved in the Brethren split at that time.. Didn't find them in
the Ogbb obit list.

There are dozens of Berkeys in the obit list C of B and maybe if you sent
me some of the family names I could come up with a clue
