The larger German communities/cities will have their own website/homepages.
For Krefeld, simply point browser to www.krefeld.de Then select from the
menu "Stadtplan".
The suffix "de" in the domain stands for Germany. Apparently some of the
smaller communities such as Schwarzenau never registered the germane domain
so the schwarzenau site has now been appropriated by a German family. But it
is fun to navigate the German sites as well as those in other countries.
Access to excellent German local maps, as well as history, businesses,
restaurants, hotels, tourism, politics, and links to local homepages, will
often be a menu option in a well-designed webpage.
