Theresa, I think that you are probably descended from Gabriel Swinehart
and Esther Neff Swinehart, because I think that the rest of the
Swineharts were Lutheran Not sure, but I don't think Gabriel was
Brethren before his marriage to Esther, but became Brethren afterward.
They married Nov. 19, 1745 in Monocacy, Frederick Co., MD. The migration
of your line to Washington Co., PA and then to Ohio also makes me think
yours is the Gabriel/Esther branch of the Swinehart family. If you are
descended from Esther Neff Swinehart, there is much information available
through the Neff Family History
Association. John Murray, the Neff family historian, is descended from
Gabriel Swinehart and Esther Neff Swinehart.
