Pat, a certain Ulrich and Maria Gabi arrived in Pennsylvania from Oberbipp
(Switzerland) sometime prior to April 22, 1751. Source for this information
is p 45 of "Lists of Swiss Emigrants in the Eighteenth Century to the
American Colonies", Vol II, by Albert Bernhardt Faust and Gaius Marcus
Brumbaugh, 1925. I and a couple other Gaby descendents have not yet been
able to prove that they were Martin Gaby's parents. But if I were making a
trip to Switzerland I would head straight for Oberbipp to try to find some
evidence there.

When you and I last communicated, you had about concluded that the Martin you
were seeking was not the Brethren Martin Gaby (1742-1812). Has something
changed your mind??
