We have a rather prominent Rowland family in Southern California, descended,
I believe, from an early immigrant who married into a Spanish family.
There's a Rowland Heights near West Covina, and an ancient home maintained as
a museum. Don't know how they're related to your Rowlands, if at all, but I
can check on more details if you're interested.
