Since posting my question to this list, I have learned that Christian CABLE
of Somerset County, PA. is not the father of Abraham COBLE born 1790. The
search continues!

Nick, yes you and I do have a connection.
Abraham COBLE/KOBEL was born 14 Aug 1790. He died 5 Oct 1865 and is buried
in Elkhart, Indiana, Yellow Creek Cemetery. His wife's name is Christina
Unkown. I have dates for Christina.
It was their daughter, Catherine born 31 Dec 1818 in Franklin County, PA.,
who married Jacob WELTY and David WHISLER second. For further information on
this COBLE/WELTY line please contact John Inbody <>
John is a direct descendant of Catherine and Jacob Welty.
