Hi Marty,

I am a Baptist too. My 4th great grandfather was a German Baptist Brethren
minister. I feel the Baptist Church (Regular Baptist) has most of the same
Theology that the German Baptist Brethren did in the late 1700's / early
1800's. I hope this does not offend anyone but I don't believe in having a
women Pastor based on what little I know of the Bible. Some of our more
liberal Brethren churches have women as Pastor and I don't understand their
reasoning. Maybe someone can explain how a woman Pastor can be the "husband
of one wife." Again, this was not to offend. The important thing is our
common belief in salvation.

I appreciate everyone's comments on the Brethren Church and its people.
This has to be one of the best e-mail groups.

Ralph
