Jones, Martha J Daughter of David and Barbara Ingle, was born April l,
1854 near Covington, Ohio and died May 3, l930 following a serious
operation at Dayton, O at the age of 76 years one month and three days.
She was the oldest of a family of five children. Father, mother, two
brothers and one sister preceded her to the spirit world. One sister, Mrs.
William Martindale of Philipsburg, Ohio survives, also three children:
Edward F. Jones of Berthold, N. Dak., Mrs.
Alice M. Petry of Hamilton, O. and Roxie E. Petry of Mogadore O., thirteen
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was married to Adam H. Jones
Feb. 22, 1877 who died Feb. 8, 1923. At the age of 29 years she united
with the C of B
and lived a devoted Christian life to the close. In 1900 she, with the
family, moved to Berthold and lived there 18 years. After this they
located at Louisa Va. Since then she has been living alternately with her
two daughters. She was a devoted mother who gave herself in willing,
faithful service to her family as well as to all those in need around her.
Funeral services at the Pitsburg church with Rev. David Hollinger. Her
body rests by the side of her husband in the beautiful cemetery at
Greenville, O. Mrs. E.S. Petry, Hamilton, O
