Any information for these families in Harrison, Jefferson, Carroll or
Tuscarawas Counties in OH or surrounding counties OR Adams, Hancock, Pike,
Schuyler or surrounding counties in ILLINOIS.
Especially interested in finding a marriage of Thomas Carnes to Elizabeth
Dunham which may have taken place in Frederick or Baltimore Co, in MD. They
lived in Frederick Co, Md and then moved to Harrison Co, OH and lived near
Deersville. They had 9 children. Thomas died abt 1826 and Elizabeth
married a Richard Stringer and died between 1850 census and 1860 census.
Their daughter, Sarah A., married Philip Bridgman abt 1817 when she was 14
years old. Philip and Sarah had 14 children, including a set of twin boys
in 1839. I am still seeking their sons, Christopher on of twins, and Thomas
born abt 1825 who married Margaret Harding or Harden and had three children;
also seeking Joshua, born abt 1823, who I find no record of. We feel that
it is likely they were affiliated with the Brethren Church. The Dunhams
were in Illinois.
