Researchers on this mail list might like to know about another Rootsweb site
which has recently had long postings about Brethren churches in Ohio.
Currently some wonderful volunteer is posting long passages from a Brethren
church record which may be of interest to some of you. Right now it's the
Gnadenhutten church, pastor Jacob Rauschenberger, dates from 1811 to 1826.
too many surnames to mention, but lots of material on births, baptisms,
deaths, marriages. Unfortunately none of it has helped my search but it's a
goldmine.
And let me add my thanks and gratitude for this wonderful board. Although,
again, nothing has popped up yet that helps me specifically in my search,
just reading it is an education. I think we can attribute this to Merle the
manager, listowner, or whatever the title is, and his scholarly approach and
vast knowledge. And of course there is the discipline and knowledge and
helpfulness of all us Brethren descendants. It is altogether a delightful
thing to have on my screen every day and I always look forward to reading it.
Thanks to you all.
