I too have some Shafer/Shaffer in my line and am wondering if they could be part
of this family. My great great grandmother was Amanda Shafer, born in Ohio
about 1840, married in Marshall Cty, Iowa in 1860. Her father was Charles
Shaffer/Shafer, born and married in Louden, Virginia and moved to Ohio where he
died. Charles married Eve Sackman. Does any of this fit with the other
Shaffer's?
