I have acquired two different genealogies for Daniel Hart of 4-Mile from
people on the web.
any idea of which if either is correct as I am still trying to link this
family with that of Elder John
Hart born Pa. 1772

Daniel Hart, born 1797 in Guilford County, NC, died 29 June 1881 in
Carlisle, Sullivan County, Ind, married 1813 to Nancy
Curry in Wilks County, NC. He was a brother of my gr-gr-grandfather,
Jacob Hart.

Their father was Adam Hart, born 1757 in PA, died June 1847 in Carlisle,
Ind. Their mother was Christina Elizabeth
Christman, born Guilford County, NC. They married abt 1780.

Adam's father was Henry (Heinrich) Hart from Germany. I don't know his
mother's name. Christina Elizabeth's father was
Jacob Christman, born abt 1716 in Germany, died 24 January 1785 in
Guilford County, NC. Her mother was Barbara
Kraemer.

Adam was in the Revolutionary War and received a pension. It shows he
was a private in Lytle's, NC Regiment.

Daniel Hart, who emigrated to Wayne County, Indiana in 1814 from Wilkes
co.,
North Carolina. His father was ap. Sebastian and his mother's name was
Christiana.
Sebastian arrived in Philadelphia, from Germany (Cologne region) I think
it
was 1771.

Daniel had 10 children, including my ancestor William H. Hart, who
moved up
state to
Noble County around 1850...Two of the sons of Daniel were John and
James, who
were Dunkard (I think this is the same as Brethren, yes?) preachers in
churches in the county south of Wayne. Their descendents have pretty
good
records, as I remember.
