I am sending this letter to multiple lists hoping that someone can help me.

Does anyone have any information on the following families? I am looking for
information on BARR/BAHR/BAR, HAINES/HENZ and HAINES (English). These
families were from Pa. I understand that they lived in Bucks, Berks and
Lancaster Counties. By the year 1820 the BARR family were members of a
Reformed Church in Marietta, Lancaster Co., Pa.

The first BARR I have any record of is from a family bible.
1. George BARR (1739-1814) married Elizabeth RICHARDS ((1749-1808) of Bucks
County, Pa. She was the daughter of Owen RICHARDS (b abt 1730) and his wife
Elizabeth.
2. George BARR (1779-1830) married on June 26,1803 a Catherine MCCANN
(b1783). I see that the name MCCANN is associated with the Brethren's.
George and Catherine had a daughter:
3. Elizabeth BARR (1804-1830). Elizabeth BARR married Henry HAINES.
4. Ann Catherine HAINES (1829-1910) married Adna Harrison REYNOLDS
The Barr family had a psalm book which was written in German.

The information which I have about Henry HAINES is from a letter in my
possession which says that my great grandmother was directly descended from
one of two brothers: Henry and Anthony HAINES of Germany. Henry HAINES (of
the brothers) supposedly married an Elizabeth HAINES (of "English descent").
According to the letter her family founded the HAINES Church of Reading, Pa.
It is unfortunate that I do not know the relationship of Henry HAINES (he who
married Elizabeth BARR) to Henry and Anthony HAINES other than that he was of
a direct descent to one of the brothers.

According to this same letter my great grandmother was a direct descendant of
Charlotte LA ROUX who was, I gather, a French protestant who came to this
country because of religious persecution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
