Hi,
I wish to thank all who help me in the past. I hope you can help again. I
found a newspaper clipping which reads in part...
"Those Women Which Labored in the Gospel"
In the recent passing of Sr. Myrtle ZOOK of Morrison, Illinois, the Mt.
Carmel Orphanage has experienced a great loss. Sr. Zook grew up in the
immediate vicinity of the Orphanage, a faith work which her father began a
great many years ago...The Mt. Carmel Tidings, well known to our readers as
the "orphans' paper," was edited by Sr. Zook for many years....her concern and
efforts in behalf of the Orphanage and the work at Franklin Corners...(it
continues on).
In the margin, this is written in pencil: Richard's grandniece.
There were no dates mentioned and no other names or places. I was told years
ago that there were ZOOK(s) "in the family." So far, I have found no
connections. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Kay
