Richard Weber -[-Ah -another good Frederick Co MD name!!!]

There are many Millers on both sides of the Mountain: Frederick Co MD -on
the East in the Monocacy River area, and between in Middletown Valley -and
on the West, on the Concocheague, Washington Co MD -Hagarstown MD.

The Roop family is strong around the Pipe Creek Church, Frederick Co MD (on
the Pipe Creek, a branch of the Monocacy). Pipe Creek is one of the VERY
OLD Brethren Churches.

Old Brother Roop jumped on me about a baptizing I did at Pipe Creek. He
said I didn't baptize her!
(I had brought the Beaver Dam church over for a winter use of the indoor
baptistry at Pipe Creek! Bro Roop was observing for Pipe Creek. Bro
Austin Cooper always claimed that Beaver Dam was part of the early Pipe
Creek, I argued from OUR records -that we were a church JUST AS OLD as Pipe
Creek! Beaver Dam Creek flows into the Pipe Creek -before Both flow into
the Monocacy.)

I immersed her the first time -and she came up so quick -I went STRAIGHT UP
in the air, up to my legs (she was BIG, weighed double what I did, and I
was holding her TOO Stiff-Armed! I didn't know that she was scared of
water!!) A HALF HOUR later, I got her under for the second time "Name of
Son and Holy Spirit!!!" fast as I could say it --
"Brother Merle -She's NOT Baptized!" --- I explained ---
"Well, I would have sent her home, till she was more scared of the Devil,
than she was of the water!"
