Harkleroad is definitely an Armstrong County name. There was a Cowanshannock
Church of the Brethren and Plum Creek Church of the Brethren (that may e
Plumcreek) in the area where these Harkleroads lived. They intermarried with
Wamplers, another Church of the Brethren name.
