HERSHEY - TROXELL

Miss Dorothy G. Troxell, daughter of Mr & Mrs Robert Troxell of Emmittsburg
and J. Richard Hershey, son of Mr & Mrs C A Hershey, of Getysburg, PA, were
married at
Fort Belvoir, Virginia, last Friday evening, in the presence of the officers
of the post. The marriage was announced Friday.

The ceremony was performed by Major John R Wright, post Chaplain, Lieutenant
and Mrs. R. Bruse Tomlinson of Ocantico, Va, formerly of Gettysburg, were the
attendants.

Mr. Hershey, who was graduated from the Gettysburg High School, class of 1927
and from Getysburg College, class of 1932, is a member of the 304th engineers,
United State Reserves.

After the ceremony, Mr and Mrs Hershey left on a wedding trip through southern
Virginia. They returned to Gettysburg, and are residing at 304 North Stratton
Street.

Mr Hershey, a civil engineer, is employed on emergency conservation work for
the National Park service.

Their homestead was about 2 miles north of Rocky Ridge, Md. Jacob is
buried in Biggs Cem, along Monocacy on the old farm and I (?) presume his wife
is buried
there also. It was cleared off and farmed over in 1880. Stones buried.
