We have a Moravian Church in Reading, PA. And the Moravian Archives(which is
a great place to do research, Moravians had to do wite good history about
themselves, I have several Moravian records & all should have kept such good
records, always would tell where immigrant came from.) are in Bethlehem, PA.
and they are in no deed part of the Brethren Church, they are their own
entity, & yes their cookbooks are wonderful.
In Bethlehem there is a Moravian Book Store it is great, wonderful books,
place to eat, gifts and food items. Everyone shouls visit, Bethlehem is a
Historic place, Moravian College is there also and they have a Christmas
Market, like they have in Germany. Wrte or call Bethlehem Visitor Center. I
get nothing out of this but to share a wonderful place to visit. They also
have a Star of Bethlehem & Crech after Thansgiving, we are going.

No, they are NOT part of the Church of the Brethren, but are, and always
have been, a completely different denomination. The confusion comes
because of the alternative name for the Moravians, the Unitas Fratrum, or
Unity of the Brethren. But they are indeed very good cooks, with many
traditional foods!
