I am in more or less the same situation. My 3G grandparents, David and
Anna (SHERFY) ONKST appear to have gone with the group migrating to TN. I
have been trying to figure out where the ONKST name came from, as it seems
to be rather unique. Here is an off-the-wall idea: is it possible that
the origin of the name was FUNK???? -probably not, but who knows!
