Susan Diehl may be the daught or granddaughter of Samuel Diehl and Margaretha
Ritchey. Samuel was born in Louden Co., VA, but subsequently resettled in
Bedford Co. PA. He had eight children, and five of them married children of
John Henry Harcleroad. There is a Diehl Family Association, in Holidaysburg,
PA, and they published a book, listing the children of Samuel and Margaretha.
It is on microfilm and can be ordered through any LDS FHC. Other common
surnames in this outfit include: Koontz and Smoose.
