Carol,
Have you run across David MILLER who married Deborah ZOOK probably in 1770's
in Pa. (maybe Bedford/Fayette/Washington Cos. area)? She is daughter of Peter
ZUG, s/o Ulrich ZUG. Potential candidates for father of David are Samuel and
Isaac of Washington Co., Pa. and Ludwig of Fayette Co., Pa. These might have
connections to Bedford Co. (Somerset Co. portion) which is where Peter Zug was
located in 1770-80's.
David and Deborah migrated to Nelson Co., Ky. about 1796. They had 12
children---those known to be born in Pa. are: Catherine b. 1779, Samuel b.
1783, Lewis b. 1791, Betsy b. 1795. Other identified children are David Jr.
b. 1799 Ky, John, Jacob, Mary M., William, Rachael (?).
Would appreciate knowing if we have any connections.
Art Miller

Hi!
My last note stated I'm certain we are related. Well, here's my ZOOK =
line:

1) John MILLER -1826 m Nancy Anna ZOOK 1785-1849
2) Ann MILLER 1815-1866 m George MOOSE 1802-1880
3) Nancy MOOSE 1841-1944 m later in life to Peter TROYER (Nancy had an =
illegitimate child). Yes, she was 102 when she died.
4) Nannie MOOSE 1872-1956 m Amos BLOUGH 1869-1951
5) Harry BLOUGH 1903-1983 m Ruth MILLER 1902-1938
6) Lucille BLOUGH 1929- m John IMMEL 1920-1994
7) Carolyn IMMEL 1951- m R. Thomas NELSON 1944- (I (Carol) have no =
children).

The research from myself to George MOOSE is my own but the other info I =
have acquired from others. I do not know Ann MILLER's parents. I can't =
find the cemetery where Ann is buried. I believe she died in Oliver Twp, =
Mifflin Co, PA as I found them in the 1860 Census there plus George =
sells his land in Oliver Twp in 1865 to Samuel ZOOK.

My HOSTETLER line is as follows:
1) John HOSTETLER m Catherine HERTZLER
2) Joseph HOSTETLER 1768-1823 m Susanna GIEBER
3) Emanuel HOSTETLER 1799-1886 m Catherine FORDENWALT 1809-1882
4) Anna HOSTETLER 1831-1909 m Joseph BLOUGH 1828-1918
5) Go to line 4 of my ZOOK line
This info is from others not my own research.

Hello- I am new to this list and thought I'd introduce myself. I am
researching family primarily in Somerset and Fayette Co. PA and some of =
my
names include: MILLER, LIVENGOOD, HOCHSTETLER, BEAL , EICHER and BRUNER.
I am trying to find Samuel H. MILLER's parents. He was born ca. 1820
probably in Somerset but maybe in Fayette CO.. He married Susannah =
LIVENGOOD
around 1840 and they had the following children: Harrison (b.1841), =
Samuel
H.(b.1843), Jesse Samuel(b. 4-5-1848), David S.(b.1849), Elizabeth, =
Caroline,
Mahala, Barbara, Archibald & Elijah(twins). These children were born in =
Elk
Lick twp., Somerset Co.
By 1860, Sam and Susannah had relocated to Fayette Co. and are listed =
on
the Wharton and Dunbar twp. census at various times. They had two more
children: Susannah (b. 1862) and Henry S. (b. 1864).
Susannah (Samuel's spouse)was born 4-24-1824 in Salisbury, Pa. and =
died
5-13-1898 and is buried in Uniontown, PA. She is listed in her obituary =
as a
life long member of the Church of the Brethern .
If anyone has any ties to the above I'd like to share information. =
We've
really hit a brick wall with Samuel's ancestors so any help will be =
greatly
appreciated.
Jenni
