Hi. My name is Bev. I was referred to you by one James Shuman; he
mentioned that I should say that I am not a member so that I could get a
direct reply. (?) My mother's maiden name is Fouts; he had a few names,
but none that I know of that fit into my line. I don't have much, but what
I do have I hope someone will be able to help me with.
The records I have only go back to my great-great-grandfather Daniel J.
Fouts, born in
the early 1800s, died late 1800s to early 1900s. He was married to
Catherine Pippenger, b. 13 Apr 1832, in Montgomery Co., Ohio, so I assume
he lived in Ohio for a time. His son, David D. Fouts, was married to Emma
Ulrey from Indiana. They lived in Illinois where my grandfather, Virgil
Cree, & his sister, Ivy May, were born. Later they moved out to
California.
Mr. Shuman mentioned that the surname Fouts was associated with the
surnames of Brethren & Dunkard, so he thought I might contact you to see if
you could help me. Thank you for your time.
