Hello,

I'm trying to research my African-American Bradford ancestors who were born in Georgia and eventually ended up settling in Bossier parish, LA after slavery. I'm looking for any records listing the slaves of Joseph or Jefferson Bradford in Oglethorpe and any records that show transactions between the Bradford's and Cade's, Marks, Gilmer's, or Pickett's. The Pickett's/Gilmer's eventually owned my ggg-grandmother, Jane Bradford, in Bossier Parish, LA and I've hit a brick wall in discovering when & where she adopted the Bradford surname. Any information would be appreciated.
