Since I last posted, I found new infomation from an old rare book online that I thought might be helpful:

Thomas HINDE, b. 16, July 1734, Oxfordshire, England, d. 28, Sept 1823, Newport KY., m. 24 Sept. 1767, King or Queen Co., VA, Mary TODD HUBBARD, b. 1747, d. 1830
SERVICE:
He served with Wolfe on the Plains of Abraham and was a Minute Man under Colonel Patrick HENRY at Long Bridge in 1775 when He marched against Lord Dunmore. "First Surgeon to the regiment of Colonel Patrick Henry: afterwards appointed by Gov. Henry to inoculate the troops designed to enter the Continental service, to which he gave his full time, and largely of his private fortune"
