Dear Will . . . I am also a Bradford list member, and for many years
have been researching my Bradford ancestors (desc. from Gov. Wm) who
lived at such places as Anson, New Sharon, Farmington, ME from late
1700s and many remained there 100 years later, and very possibly to this
day.

My great grandmother was born at Anson ME 1834, headed west with her
family ten years later, and by about 1847-50 was in LaSalle Co. IL. She
married there 1866 and died 1911. This lady, Sarah H. Butler Palmer was
the daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Butler & Huldah Bradford. I have
excellent photos of both of her parents, as well as Sarah. Sarah was
very interested in her heritage, and maintained a prodigious
correspondence with her ancestors back in Maine for much of her life. I
have original letters which were written to her from her Butler
ancestors, and possibly also some Bradford letters. Her only child, my
grandfather, Walter B. Palmer (IL 1868-1932) carried on this work and
wrote a family history during the 1920's.

I do not know if we might have a connection, but it would certainly seem
so. I would enjoying sharing information, and ask that you send me your
snail address. I am Peter Burrows, P. O. Box 1909, Annapolis, MD 21404
(410) 263-2501.
