My Grandfather was Thomas Wilkinson Mallam born 1886 at Hetton-le Hole Durham. He had a brother John Rodger Wilkinson Mallam who if we are to believe the family oral history went to Canada after the first world war. Their father was Thomas Wilkinson Mallam and they had several sisters and a brother William who appears to have died as a child. John Rodger was born about June 1873. Father of Thomas Wilkinson was John Wilkinson Mallam whom we believe was a grocer or similar. There was also a son James to John and Margaret who were married in 1848. I hope this is of some help.
