Alie Jo,
Thanks for the info. I had found that Spinney genealogy web site
earlier, the only source listed for the posted info is Narcissa.ftw
imported Jun 18, 2000. Does anyone have any documentation?

At www.ocmuseum.org/genealogy among the Will abstracts are the
following. This indicates that the second wife of Samuel Bradford is
Tabitha TARR.
Samuel Bradford Will Date: Probate Date:
Bradford, Samuel 13 Dec 1810w. 11 Feb 1812p. To wife Tabitha Bradford,
lands. To sons John Bradford, James Bradford, Peter Bradford, Adam
Bradford. To daughters Eleanor Bevans, Delilah Bradford, Sarah Handcock,
Nancy Bradford, Comfort Bradford, Mary Bradford. To the heirs of my
deceased son William Bradford. My daughters Eleanor Bradford, Delilah
Bradford, Mary Bradford and son John Bradford to have a home here as long
as they remain single. Wit; Nehemiah Holland, Eliakam Jones, Lancy
Tunnell. 1806-13, 316.

John Tarr, Sr. Will Date: Probate Date:
10 November 1784w. 20 January 1785p. To wife Sarah, EX. Son Israel, EX.
Son Nehemiah, daughter Tabitha Bradford. Daughter Sarah Harper. Daughter
Eleanor Tarr. Wit; Stephen Sturgis, Richard Sturgis, Outten Sturgis.

As for the father of Samuel... I have seen no proof that it is John
Bradford. But many of the families of Accomack Co, VA do turn up in
Worcester Co, MD. And a cousin, and fellow researcher, found that Snow
Hill, Maryland and Accomac, Virginia are only 39 driving miles apart.
There is, however, the following Will abstract, which indicates that an
Esther SMITH was married to a Mr Bradford. We just don't know if it is
our John.

William Smith Will Date: Probate Date:
William Smith 1764 w. 19 June 1766p. Wife Rebecca EX; son John 50 acres;
son Levi; son Thomas EX; son William, daughter Sarah Smith, daughters
Rebecca Smith, Esther Bradford, Mary Timmons. Wit; Joseph Jones, Joseph
Jones, John Webb.

Any help in ferreting out clues to prove the parents of Samuel Bradford
will be gratefully accepted by several of us on this mail list.

Thanks, Leona

I have found this lineage on Judy Phillips' website:

I know at least one other researcher was attempting to connect our
Samuel
Bradford with the Accomack co, VA John Bradford. Anyone have an idea
about
the validity of this claim? Leona or Nelson? Anyone?

Alie Jo
